Outrageous Fortune Black Lace Body Con Dress

Added Jun 7, 2010

by Brumby Ramsay

Christchurch, Ne...

This pattern was based on the 1979 ‘Vogue 7386’.

I altered it for a more body con fit, and made a slip dress for modesty.

It was a super quick and easy pattern to make, with results I am (surprisingly) very happy with. I cannot foresee myself wearing the dress as per pattern, but am thinking of using it to whipping up a top with a cutout back detail in the next week or two.

Aha! I read your title and thought you must have been talking about the kiwi show as the dress is so very Cheryl West! I just wish I could get my dvds of it over here to Denmark soon, my poor Danish husband doesn’t know what he’s in for.

Its great isn’t it, I must say I avoided watching it at first, thinking it was more badly acted NZ drama, but I am now a convert, I think this may just be a cult classic! these guys ship internationally and have it in stock if your interested!

Also just stopped by your blog, YUM, I got fat just reading all those recipes, they look amazing!

It definitely is a cult classic! TV stations in Aus fought over it! Who’d a thunk it?!
