Made this for my SIL with my own pattern (and threw it over an old pair of T’s and one of my skirts. No, I didn’t make those).
There wasn’t much of the fabric, so I had to improvise because she wanted it to be long. I jazzed it up with the loops made from satin bias strips which I also bound the armhole and side slits with.
Finally, I finished off the rope/ribbon with rock and sand beads. I was afraid it would be tacky, but she really liked it. Phew!
The fabric seems to be of the plaid kind. Texture wise, can't really say it's wool, and it's not cotton either. Sort of an in between, perhaps a blend of both.... (you can tell I'm not really good with fabrics)

I very much like the corset-like closing and the shape of the whole garment. The fabric is also really nice.
