Description
This is another pattern found in the 8/2009 Burda magazine ( nr.128). I really like this dress, even though I messed it up a bit in the front. When it was basically finished, I realised I didn’t like the way the neckline looked, so I quite crudely inserted a dart there…well c’est la vie :-) The fabric I ordered from Tessuti fabrics in Australia (decadent I know…), it’s Japanese cotton and it’s lovely and soft and it has bows on it :-)
Material Notes
Cotton, lining, invisible zipper, interfacing

It’s beautiful and it fits you so well (can’t make out the added dart among all those bows).

I love your version of that dress. I totally overlooked it in the magazine, as it felt a bit too classic for my style but you managed to turn it into something fun and comfortable looking, exactly the type of dress I would like to have in my wardrobe to you can just throw on and look nice without any effort…It’s going on my list !

I love this dress on you. I hope you don’t mind that I featured this dress on my Sew Tessuti blog?

I LOVE this dress and the fabric is just adorable! I took a view on that Tessuti Fabrics page and found out, that your fabric width was 112cm only. May I ask how much you needed for your dress?

I bought 7 × 0.25m (that’s how they calculate it on the page) and that was just enough to get it to fit :-)

love, love, love this dress! great job (even if you did crudely insert a dart in the front)

so cute! the fabric absolutely makes it. maybe just a box pleat at the front instead of a dart would have made your ‘mistake’ look more intentional? just a thought. pleats or gathers seem to fix almost everything in my book! either way, it looks awesome on you!
