Description

I made this dress and tie out of the same giant and altogether ugly dress I purchased for 50 cents at a thrift store. I made the tie for my boyfriend’s birthday and then made the dress for myself to match. Every time we wear them out together the drone of “cuuuute” and “how did you find matching outfits??” become tedious but lovable.

Material Notes

Tie interfacing came out of one of my dad's old ties. The bottom of the dress came from a plain jersey fabric I bought and the buttons on the dress actually came from the original ugly cotton thrift dress.

That dress is really cute by itself but with the tie… you two are adorable!

But it’s sooo cute!! I also like what you’ve done with the dress.

Cuuuute. Not all couples could pull that off, but on you two it’s totally fun!
