I made this dress last year for my sister-in-law who wanted a copy of the $6000 Oscar de la Renta dress from the Spring 2013 runway collection. I used black lace applique to recreate the embroidery of the original dress. The dress is made of silk shantung and lined in china silk. The second picture is the original Oscar de la Renta dress. How did I do?
Lace, Silk shantung, China silk.
