Description

I don’t know what it is, but I have a terrible time trying to throw away fabric scraps. I always think I’ll use them later for some project. I’ve even been known to use them to wrap small gifts in. I draw the line at anything less than a square foot. Never the less, I have accumulated quite the stash to which I have dwindled down significantly to make this skirt.

I love the idea for this skirt so I had to favorite it! Looks like it was a fun skirt to make. Thanks for the inspiration!

Where is the origami? All I see is patchwork.

Gee, I used to thing I was crazy for keeping the scraps. I did it because my grandma used to do it and because, like you, I think I could use them some day. I have to tell you this, I saw a similar skirt at a discounted cloths store and the discounted price tag was $19.99. Yours is prettier though!

I love this skirt. I too am guilty of keeping all my scraps and they sit and sit-I was thinking of just getting rid of them but you have inspired me. Did you use a pattern? Love the scallop edge on the bottom.

Thank you. I did use a pattern, New Look 6410. The scalloped edge was my own addition. Once you sew all the scraps together, the possibilities are endless. I thought it would be great to make aprons to gift as well.

This is so pretty! I always use my scraps to make stuffing for toys or as a patchwork quilt, but this is such a good was to use them :)

I always think that exact same thing about my scraps! What a fun way to make use of them!
