After making a million origami fabric flowers i decided to make some of the petals in different sizes and try ot make them into a necklace, unfortunatley it doesn’t quite sit right so i am going to have to work on it a bit and maybe try some handsewing or invisible thread to get them to splay out whilst on the neck.
UPDATE:
Finally got back to working on this necklace.
Spacers!!! All that was needed was a spacer bead or two in between each ‘petal’ to give them room at the top to spread out and not bunch together and twist.
Cotton, ribbon, rivets

Love it! Have you considered beads for spacing? I would repeat a similar shape with beads between each of the flowers. Perhaps the cowrie because it echoes the shape?

What a clever idea! I also think the necklace looks beautiful “as is” and will make a great statement with a simple garment.
