i design this pattern for my chinese tea set.
round thing in center is the chinese character means “longevity”, and each corner pattern called “Silk Weave”
which introduced to japan on Ming-period Chinese Textile. in japan, the design traditionally appeared on figured silk weave called “saya”, so it’s called “saya pattern”
also known as Monk’s Maze.
