This necklace is based off of Origami Necklace and is made from an organic green cotton with a beatiful hand. I made a dress for a show from this material and this was made from the leftovers! It was a little challenging to make, but using a needle and iron to shape the folds really helped.

I absolutely love this necklace. Not just saying that cause I’m a “origami nut”. I saying it because you have cool style and I’m gaga for anything origami. Great work.

Awesome! I love the look of bold fabric/embroidered necklaces- they can really make an outfit :) How did you connect the squares? By stitching them at the corners or attaching them to a single piece of fabric?

I hand-stitched them at each corner…tedious, but I like the result. It is a bit more flexible/drapable (as much as it can be) because I didn’t back it with fabric. What you can’t tell is I stitched the straps on with red thread! I was desperate to wear the necklace, so I just got something cotton-y out of my sewing kit and stitched it on.
