This was my first “real” dress, meaning it was the first time I buckled down with a real pattern and fabric and sewed it (My other dresses have all been t-shirt recons)! I made a ton of mistakes and I’m still working out the fit of the back, but I’m otherwise satisfied. I thought that the Zoe pattern looked kind of 1960s-ish, so I went that direction with a mod orange synthetic remnant I got for free!

Thanks so much everyone, I really appreciate it!
The lining fabric actually doesn’t just look retro— it really is old! I got it from my grandma’s scrap stash— she has all these crazy fabrics from the 70s.
