Description

I wanted to have a fluffy top for my holiday and chose pattern #122 from Burda 04/2009. I have used crepe chiffon and decided to use a double layer at the upper part so it’s not transparent. The split in front was a bit too long so I made two loops and buttons so I can use it without a tank top underneath. It’s very comfortable to wear and I’m really happy how it turned out :)

Very pretty top! I do love the orange color too. You chose the right fabric for it and the idea of adding the loops and buttons to cover the neck split is really smart. I will borrow your idea some day:) P.S. You look great on this top :-)

Ellen, this top is so lovely and looks so bright and vibrant on you. You are going to be the best dressed lady on your holiday island. I have this pattern ready to make the dress version with more fabric from the Delhi Store and I am so glad to read your method for making the V neck a little more modest. I won’t be wanting to wear a tank under my dress, so I will add some loops and buttons as you have done.

You are so sweet Schnui – thank you very much. I’m looking forward to see your dress – and I’m sure that your Delhi fabric is just fabulous as the other! Nice to hear that you like my loops ;)
