This is my wedding dress.
It’s made primarily of off-white silk. The train is removable, and lined with three layers of organza to get the right shade of pinky-orange. I love how it flared out behind me when I was walking.
I really, really wish I had done boning in the bodice but I didn’t leave myself enough time to make it and I was terrified of screwing up.
The last picture is without the flowers and before we dyed the stretch lace to match the silk. Took several tries before the tea made the lace the right shade & tone.
My favorite part is probably the petticoats. They were a nightmare to make but totally worth it. I love the extra color they give to the dress and how they peek out when I’m dancing.
Obviously my sewing skills aren’t quite up to par, but overall I’m proud of this dress.
Ivory silk (bought the whole $20-a-yard bolt at Joann’s with a 60% off coupon. booyah), stretch lace, organza, netting, ribbon.

So gorgeous!!! I love the petticoats too! Mine were a nightmare to make too, but the dress wouldn’t have been the same without them. Love that you hand dyed your fabric too. Congrats and you look beautiful :)

I just love this dress! How did you do this flowers, I want to make some dresses with flowers for my kids but I’m not sure if I have to buy them or if I can make some for myself?!

The flowers are made with folded ribbon and a hot glue gun. I tried a few different ways of making them, most of which recommended sewing, but that just wasn’t as secure. I’ll see if I can find a link to the tutorial I used… if not, I’ll do one of my own. =)
