I bought this material because I liked it and also it was at a bargain price and had no idea what to do with it until I showed my husband and he said he liked it too.
The Jakob shirt turned out to fit him perfectly and I managed to persuade him to stand still for 30secs to get a photo (he then went off to chop wood in it!)
I altered the Jakob into a short sleeve and would consider next time making the collar a little smaller.
I thought I had tried my hardest to line up the check when cutting out but that didn’t quite turn out!
It was an ok pattern for me as a beginner I just needed a bit of extra patience when it came to attaching the collar.
Material Notes
Cotton check in orange, grey and white - all in all spent NZ$4 including 7 buttons

This is an awesome shirt!! The plaid looks great and it fits perfectly. I like the detail shot at the bottom, it shows your skills well. Really nice job.
