My sister asked me to sew a huge bag with a long strap for her ages ago… And when I saw the Anna Boho Bag pattern I knew I had to make one for her birthday! I really like how it came out and I’m sure that I will make another Anna… yes, maybe it will be one for me :)
Material Notes
Heavy weight orange IKEA cotton, grey and blue faux leather, black lining and yellow (or even golden??) cord.

It looks like something from a magazine, it’s lovely! I love the colors.
May I ask… this may be a dumb question but… I’m attempting to make this bag and I’m a amateur at sewing, so I was wondering how to attach the side panels to the bag hah…

sorry for asking back… do you mean the pockets on the side or the pieces between the front and back of the bag? If pockets: you attach them before you sew the side pieces to the front and back, just topstitch them to the side piece. the side panels are put together by putting them right side on right side so that the seams are inside the bag..

hi felicityfarce! I’ve just discovered your beautful bags. I’d love to make the Anna Soho Bag but can’t download the instructions, so I’m going to try without a pattern.
May I ask you something (you’re German??): das Gummi-Durchzugsband (mit dem Band und dem Fransending) geht das nur durch das Vorderteil oder auch durch das Rückenteil der Tasche? Anders gesagt, sehen Vorder-und Rückseite gleich aus? Und wie groß sind die Durchzugsringe ca. für den Träger?

hey! ja, german :) – vielen dank für dein lob!
genau, dieser gummizug-tunnel ist auf der vorder- und auf der rückseite, und die tasche sieht auf beiden seiten gleich aus. die ringe, die ich benutzt hab, haben einen durchmesser von ca. 3,5cm. wenn das etwas mehr oder weniger ist, ist aber glaub ich nicht so schlimm. hoffe, das hilft dir ein wenig weiter?
schade, dass das bei dir nicht geklappt hat mit dem download, das schnittmuster ist nämlich wirklich toll. vielleicht kann der support da noch weiterhelfen?

Thanks! :) Yes, you should definitely make this! I think it can look great with so many different fabrics… This orange one is from IKEA – and I’ll make my next Anna with a grey sweatshirt fabric and maybe some applications on it ;)
