I made this blouse a few years ago, with the intention of creating an eye catching fitted blouse. I selected some medium weight black and white striped cotton fabric, and used an existing shirt as the basic pattern.
I didn’t want to connect with the inner pirate, so chose to go with vertical stripes rather than horizontal, and was very pleased with the ‘op art’ effect created.
The collar and cuffs were tricky to tackle, especially sans instructions. However, with a little bit of perseverance, these turned out great!
Maisie looked fantastic wearing this blouse on Saturday! I hope you enjoy wearing it for years to come, Masie!
