This is a Simplicity pattern, #1607. The straps are something you have to pay attention to when you sew it and when you try it on. Basting the straps with a few hand stitches will keep them from getting tangled. I originally did a fitted skirt. That was a mistake and a headache because it resulted in a wavy side seam that I couldn’t fix. So, I went back and made it a ruffled skirt. Much more comfortable. The dress portion has a lot of French written on it but you can’t really see it and I hope it’s nothing offensive! It may be too young for me to wear anywhere but I don’t care. I love looking at it and knowing how cute it looks.
1.5 yards of cotton, 1/4 yard interfacing, 22 inch zipper
