My great amazing and OH i love her so friend janet, came to me on a friday to tell me that she was getting married in a week yikes and since i said i would make her dress…i stuck to my word
between working my full time job and working on the dress, it took me one week to make and cost a grand total of $106 (even the hair piece)
i decided on a bubble hem because the fabric was a bit sheer, so doubling the fabric would reduce the risk of see-through undergarments.
the bodice is from a vintage pattern completely reworked and the rest was freestyle sewing.
i also made my dress from cotton sateen and silk
the textile used was a soft butter cream color, the petticoat underneath was a tad darker all the vintage jewelry came from my end except the wedding rings of course the bride had on vintage blue suede shoes

You did an absolutely incredible job and she looks stunning! The dress looks like you spent six months on it, not a week!

She looks beautiful! You did an amazing job. I really wish there were more simple wedding dresses like this. I also “got married in a fever” and there’s not many options for a girl who doesn’t want a big gown. This one is perfect.

The underskirt is such an adorable detail, and so is the brooch!
