I made this georgous maxi dress from the June 2013 issue, for my 40th birthday trip to Dubai. It was really easy to make. You don’t necessariy need to line it but I had to because I found that the fabric was see through. The armhole on the lining is very high up, so I had to lower it by a couple of inches.
It might be better to trace this pattern from the magazine as if you print it out it is over 120 pages. It took forever to stick it together.
I love the dress so much I made it twice, one in an African print fabric with shoulder strap and the other in a silky satin (a bargain, I made the dress for £2.00).
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
