Coral/pink Jessica McClintock short evening gown (Simplicity 2253, version C). I was a guest at my friend’s wedding and I made this dress especially for the event. For progress photos click here.

Well done I was going to get this pattern for a wedding in July. How was it to make easy or tricky???

It was somewhere in between. Once you get all the pieces cut and ordered, it’s actually not too bad. The tricky part is that the instructions seem to skip around a bit, so just make sure you read through all of the directions carefully before-hand so you don’t run into any issues. But I’d definitely say go for it!! :)

Darling oragami embellishments, so trendy. I’m sure you can got tons of compliments…perhaps even from the bride too. On second thought this would be a great bridesmaid’s dress, classy and flattering.

I’ve been thinking about using similar lines on a dress I’m making. What do the pattern pieces for the criss-cross bodice section look like?

great lines, it’s both eye-catching and mind-catching! – I can’t stop analyzing the pattern!
