I made this dress for a class in school. I was suposed to be inspired by the fabric, so I picked a really crazy print a made a simple knee lenght cocktail summer dress with a black leather belt tied to the waist. It has 4 darts (Front/back) plus the bust darts. The facing goes from neck line to the waist. I thought of the difficulty for the one wearing the dress to wear a bra, so the long facing serves a lining and gives body to the garment where it is needed. I serged the seams.

Strechy tweed / poly/cotton blend thread.
