Description

I got a special request from a young lady, who didn’t want a typical grad dress. She wanted something shorter, simpler but with a lot of lace. This is what we came up with!
the wonderful photo’s were taken by nikaela of this beautiful blog!

I adore this…and you know it’s not just for teens. Think Betsey Johnson, she’d wear this in a heartbeat! Now I don’t know where to get cotton sateen. Suggestions on replacements? But this is a dress where yards of lace are needed. Get those spools on sale at your local fabric shop. I love Vogue Fabrics for this kind of thing. I’d use some KK2000 for placement first to make sure everything is spot on before I sew.

I just got cotton sateen at my local fabric store. You can use any medium weight fabric. i just liked this one because it had a tiny bit of stretch. She wanted it to be super fitted so i thought that would help a bit. Good idea with the KK2000. i did not think of that. i just pinned and sewed…. aaahhh
