Description

for this coat
i used the pattern from burda magazine
9/2010, mod 101
..
it’s lined with thermal lining, for extra warmth
and made out of bouclé
(that is made out of olive green and deep purple yarn
and doesn’t picture well, as you can see)
had a bit trouble with bouclé, it frays too much
..
i was in such a rush to photograph it before rain
so i forgot to iron hems
and i see now it looks a bit messy
sorry for that
..

thanks.. i do always go for bright lining, never care to -‘match’ it to the fabric (well, i do think this is a perfect match.. greeny-turquoisy might have been even better hehe)

Prekrasno! This is definitely inspiring me to attempt my own coat. :) Bouclé scares me a bit much but that’s exactly why I should try it. This blog is pretty helpful with some techniques: http://frabjous-fashion.blogspot.com/p/techniques.html

thanks, michele.. you should go with bouclé i think.. it was a bit nerve racking, but since it frays that much, made me think of what i’m doing instead of just doing it and messing it and seam ripping it, as my normal routine is
