Description

I own many smocks but this is my first self-made one. The pattern is a simple dress pattern but i modified the front to make it a button up front. Then it also seemed to sag about everywhere so i added the 2 darts to bring it into shape at the front. The sleeves were also really wide and they were a bit too 70’s for me – even though i love retro things, so i made them smaller so i didnt look like a post-modern folk singer.

    Fantastic! I love the color. Looks great. I’d say more mod ( i.e twiggy) than folk singer.

    A really lovely dress, very daring to wear it like this! I guess you shouldn’t try to pick up anything from the floor…;) But lovely design, well done!

    Amazing job. I love that olive color as well. (Oh and I like the ikea fabric on the lampshade, too. Nice.)
