I have finally finished my olive dress! Being my first dress without pattern it took me ages to get it to fit right and not having a mannequin yet (not to self: make one of these homemade tape dummy asap!) most of my upper body now has pin marks :-)
The bottom of the skirt is a simple circle skirt and the top part is made of two pieces of fabrics to which I added darts.
lilla66’s flower tutorial came in very handy as I was looking for a way to personalise the dress.
As for the belt, I really don’t like it at all and I’ll probably update it at some point, but I really wanted to try to make a buttonhole (it took me 30 min… let’s hope it won’t take that long next time! :-))

This dress is adorable! The fact that you made it without a pattern shows your talent! I love the fabric choice and the flower was perfect! Great job~~
