This dress is a combination of the Pinafore Dress pattern, by Angela Kane, but with the Marie skirt front.
I used a white and pink cotton that for some strange reason reminds me of France…
Because I’m bigger from the waist down and thinner from the waist up, I thought it might look better with horizontal stripes on top and vertical ones on bottom.
I think I did quite well, I’m gonna wear it a lot.
I’m not sure if I should put some detail on the waist…

I like your dress, and I like your title! Did you used to sing that in French class as well?

Thank you :)
Ohh no, but my parents listen to Joe Dassin a lot, when I was a kid…The song immediately poped into my ears as I was making this dress :)

You’re welcome, I love your pattern and I’ll definitely sew some more pinafore dresses :)

great idea with horizontal then vertical stipes, I think it worked because I wouldn’t know you’ve used different sizes if you didn’t say! clever combination of patterns, too.

Love the style and fabric. I think it would even cuter with a white or striped bow.
