I found this tutorial on Burdastyle months ago, but always found an excuse not to do it. What a mistake- it was soooo easy! I made one for each of my kids. The bag itself took no time at all (maybe 15-20 minutes and that is with me being a cautious sewer). The applique on my daughter’s bag took longer than the bag itself (it’s a scrap of a microfleece top sheet I used to make a duvet cover with, small piece of red felt and 2 threads of black embroidery floss). Definately will be making more of these. I figure they will make great loot bags for birthday parties next year.
You will have to forgive the picture quality, my camera is dying a slow death!
9" zip, ribbon and printed canvas (?) for blue bag and 7" zip, ribbon and microfibre scrap for maroon one Applique- microfleece scrap, felt and embroidery floss

Very cute! Those would make organizing a pencil pouch so much easier than having all the markers and colored pencils together. The possiblities of use are endless. Luv the Hello Kitty patch!
