Chanel Coat/Jacket inspired by Chanel Couture, Paris Runway for Fall 2012. The semi-fitted princess seamed coat/jacket combines two Burda patterns and features a keyhole neckline, two piece sleeve and hidden front button placket, hidden zippered front lining pockets, underarm cell phone wallet and is fully underlined with silk organza and lined with Radiance cotton/silk blend. An embroidered self fabric camellia flower, the iconic symbol of Chanel, with hand made ceramic button, is worn high on shoulder. The coat/jacket was constructed using Couture techniques, based on the Craftsy.com, Couture Dress class by Susan Khalje.
This is my entry for the 2012 Make It With Wool and was awarded 1st place and now eligible to compete for National Honors.

What a lovely project! All of the elements are special. The fabric is gorgeous, as well as the embellishments. I know you’ll feel beautiful and confident when you wear it. Be careful, French tailoring is highly addictive! :-)))
