My mother loves her little yappy dog. Little yappy dog hates me. For Christmas I made Mother a bag (thrifted suit jacket, silk lining, McCall’s pattern 4262) with a fabric foto of her dog on the front. Now every time she opens the purse for a pen or her driver’s license I decapitate her dog by proxy. I’m evilly satisfied and Mom loves showing off the picture of her ‘baby’.
thrifted microfiber from a man’s suit coat (I was able to fussy cut an use the pockets inside the bag), blue silk lining that actually matches better than the pictures would leave you to believe, 3 magnetic snaps, 1 zipper, 4 domed buttons with the shanks cut off and some good fabric glue (for the feet)
