Description
This was a dress I made to go to a friends wedding. I wanted something flattering and 50s inspired with a full skirt and petticoat.
I drafted the pattern so that the princess seams at the bust and side back followed through to the shoulder straps to give a fluid line. This actual dress had to be made in my day off so it actually took 12 hours of constant sewing!
The silk/cotton fabric is from Goldhawk Road in London and feels amazing.
The dress is lined in white cotton and the petticoat is made from tulle and cotton with a ribbon trim.
I have blogged about it here: http://wp.me/p2o8lQ-2w
Material Notes
red silk/cotton mix with dots. white cotton lining. invisible zip with hooks and eyes
