Description

The green simple pillowcase was the first item I ever made, and the neckroll the second. I made them to showcase ribbons won by my horses. Each ribbon is stitched to the one beside it to make a ‘fabric’ and is then treated much the same as any regular fabric for making these items would be. I was really excited with how well these turned out for my first ever runs on a sewing machine.

Material Notes

horse-show ribbons (silky)
calico backing for pillowcase
upholstry fabric for neckroll ends
piping & cord for neckroll
thread

Many thanks go to the wonderful horses who win these ribbons for me! And my Mum for buying me a sewing machine for Christmas!

What a beautiful job you did on that neckroll. It’s a jewel. And your idea of using the ribbons & awards you and your horse won is so very cool. Have fun with your new machine.
