Upon reading Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice for the millionth time, I was inspired to create this vintage empire waist top.

    That is one of the sweetest tops I’ve seen on this website! From the fabric you picked for the top bodice to the shape you created for the top… I really love it. Congratulations on your work.

    I traced out a pattern for the bodice based on a shirt I had… though the results came out entirely different. I am going to draft out another pattern, one that includes a zipper (this one does not have a zipper… so it is a little difficult to get into!). I took some simple measurements based on my size and then gathered the white fabric using a basting stitch. Overall I am pleased!
