It’s the end of October and, shockingly, the sun is out; what’s more, on the subway this morning I saw a girl wearing shorts (yes, bare legs and we’re at a latitude of 45 degrees N)! So, I decided it wont be too crazy if I photograph my recent sewing project – a pair of high-waisted shorts from Burda Easy Fashion magazine (1/2011)*
I must say, the project was very simple and satisfying. The shorts have pleats in the front and back (hard to see in the photos), a zipper on the side seam, and overall, I find I actually want to wear them and will likely wear them this fall with tights underneath. I find putting a belt on makes them look better, so, for a future pair, I’ll be sure to add belt loops.
*(I’m not sure if Burda “Easy Fashion” magazine is currently published in English; my aunt brings them for me from Poland.)

Thanks! :) Oh I wish I had made the scarf, but no, it was made by my boyfriend’s sister. She’s an incredible knitter.
