been promising my friend who loves to play in the kitchen an apron for many months now, and was finally inspired to follow through when I saw prudencerabbit’s kick ass pattern.
I had a little trouble closing because I opted to topstitch it shut with my machine rather than slipstich, I don’t like to handsew! It wasn’t perfect but I think if I handbaste it first next time and cut the non-interfaced piece a little less wide (my problem topstitching was that the non-interfaced piece either was a little wider or stretched a little whereas of course the interfaced piece admirably kept its original size).
This really is my first burdastyle pattern in a long time – and for the same friend as my last project :)
quilting cotton, very heavy fusible interfacing for the waistband

thanks :) I have mostly been sewing out of a finnish kids’ pattern mag called ottobre, as well as various Japanese pattern books, but I just saw another pattern I’d like to make right away so hopefully there’s more in the queue.
