Pattern: Tessuti Fabric’s ‘New York Cape’ pattern
Fabric: Wool remnant from Tessuti Fabrics
Trim: Poly/cotton binding from Tessuti Fabrics
Buttons: from Clegs
Notes: I made the pattern as it is this time. The only alteration was to add snaps to the sides and sew the buttons on the outside as decoration.
This is on it’s way to someone special.

I really like this! I loved the more extrovert versions of the NY cape pattern we’ve seen before on BurdaStyle, but yours shows that it works equally well in a subdued colour and styling :-)

Very nice. I looks like the shoulder/neckline darts are a great fit detail.

Very nice. I have been thinking to make something like this. I hate that my fall/winter sweaters don’t fit in a regular coat sleeve. Very nice finishing, and the fabric is such a good quality.
