I was inspired to make this dress by a 1950’s novel I came across at work. The woman on the cover had the cutest dress (see picture) and I decided to try to re-create it!
The dress ended up being a sort of mish-mash of a couple of different patterns and then my own “free-handing” on the trim and the belt. The fabric is just a regular cotton broadcloth and I used some purchased white bias tape for the trim. It’s not lined (but I probably should have lined it!).
