Nougat dress, variation #3

I am launching a new line of sewing patterns, called Stepalica Patterns

This dress is an original version of the Nougat dress series (variation #1 and variation #2) I’ve been posting over here.

Bellow is a pattern / dress description. For more details about the pattern and purchase options, please visit my blog Stepalica.

This version has a rather simple pattern, that can be sewn easily and quickly (it took me one night to sew it, from fabric cutting to completion; the pattern is suitable for those with intermediate sewing skill level), and has a very interesting seaming that adds some drama to the dress. Front darts form a “V” shape, and the waist yoke is asymmetrical, just like on the variation #2. Skirt panels form almost a quarter of a circle, giving the dress a nice flow.
It’s made of a very light and soft poplin, that I had recently bought for cheap. Since the fabric isn’t transparent, I didn’t line the dress, which makes it perfect for hot summer days that are ahead of us, since I almost don’t feel it on the body.
With a blazer or cardigan, Nougat dress would make a perfect office appropriate garment.

For more details and new announcements related to the pattern follow my blog Stepalica.

I really like your Nougat Dress. The dart detail on the front bodice is really nice.
