This dress was based on the Anthropologie Backswept Dress. I took the bodice of a McCall’s pattern and redid the back to make the ties, then drafted a full skirt with pockets on the side panels.
Thrifted cotton/poly blend bedsheet, bias binding, elastic

Thanks! Haha my husband said the clouds actually made him think of popcorn. I will tell him to think video games instead!

Rarely do I succeed at such a spot-on knock-off, it looks so great. I’m also a fan of the wash-and-wear cotton vs Anthro’s always-high-end silks. Your writing style on your blog is cute too :)

Thank you! That’s very kind of you.
I sometimes feel like Anthro stuff isn’t made for real people with real lives to live :)

<3 actually scanned out of a lovely 1950’s sewing/craft magazine. I scanned the whole mag in, and saved it here to preserve it: https://picasaweb.google.com/108391255100403350840/PinsAndNeedlesNo131952?authuser=0&feat=directlink
