I have been wanting to make overall’s that were cut with a narrower leg. No one seems to sell women’s overall’s except on Ebay and they were huge in the legs even in a size small. So, I decided I’d try and make my own.
I used Cindy Taylor Oates pattern which was available to also make a shorts and a capri overall variation. I cut a size small but I still modified the pattern by taking it in another inch from the outside and inside leg seams. The pattern calls for 2 and half yards but I think 2 yards would’ve been enough. I have enough fabric left over for another pair of jeans at this point.
2 yards of denim, two buckles, 6 dungaree buttons, and two spools of heavy duty thread.
