I found some machine knit fabric at the op shop but it was pale pink – the worst pink there is. but it was $2 for the metre and i thought i might be able to add another fabric to give it a bit of an edge. In the end I used blue and red embroidery thread to outline the diamond design and added a contrasting fabric for the yoke and cuffs. I used burda 9645 – it is actually for a shirt but easily adapted for a jacket. I think my lovely toddler looks gorgeous in it – hope you do too.
machine knit from the op shop and quilting fabric from spotlight. vintage buttons.
