I made this coat with the help of a very experienced seamstress who was willing to teach me and two friends some tricks of the trade. It was a lot of work, but I am happy with the result. The pattern is originally for a dress, but doesn’t need any adjustments to make it into a coat, just wool fabric.

I remember this pattern is mean to be a dress but I knew it will work perfectly as a coat, the lines are very nice, I definitive will tray on as a coat too, had in my mind. Is great you took the risk! the leather patches are great just wear a thick pullover beneath so it will warm you up!
