Made a pair of shorts for the hot weather! (Ironically the sun went in the minute i finished them)
They are made from some mystery fabric that i’ve used before, like a thick jersey beginning with a b or p, and a three inch wide elastic waistband, I accidentally but the waist band on the wrong way and the seam is at the front so disguised it with some buttons. Pretty comfy, modified the Jalie Jeans pattern but widening them to accommodate elastic instead of a zip..put like a turn up type thing for the hem
Was great to make my own shorts as all in the shops here seem to be like hot pants and i wanted them a bit longer to cover tops of thighs.

Hi, thanks! I just stretched it out, pinned it to the shorts then straight stitched it on the machine pulling the material fairly tight as it went through :-)

These are really cute! I think the buttons in the front are perfect-so it was an accident with a very cute ending

These are lovely! i love the buttons, they are such a perfect cover up they don’t look like one at all! did you use a pattern? I love the idea of elastic in the waistband… It makes them fit so nicely

Hi, thanks! Yeah i like comfort so elastic is the friend :-) I used Jalie 2908 stretch jeans pattern, but just traced the shape of the top legs and missed out all the fancy bits.
