Red & white polka-dot chiffon, in Alexander. I added a bit of length to the bodice and peplum, added a front and back placket, for decency’s sake ;), and tossed the shank buttons for classy abalone. Interlined with China silk. Although I made a muslin, I changed the length only in my garment fabric, which required some extra fitting between the bust and waist.
Oh, and I love love love my new rolled hem plate for the serger!

Chiffon can be tricky to sew…A can of Sullivan’s spray stabiilizer is such a great tool to have when working with slippery fabrics.

It looks great – especially the rolled hems! I tried making this pattern too, but the bodice was far too short. Yours seems to be just the right length!

This is so lovely Honey – you look fabulous in that colour! Just beautiful – sigh. . . I can only imagine how wonderful a) it must be to own a serger and b) how great that rolled hem plate is! (gosh I wish I had one of those!!!)
So green-eyed over this one – both the lovely Alexander and the whole serger thing! Wonderful job xxx

Thanks! I thought twice about the polka dot, only because it’s so similar to the Burda version…but it just works, ya know?
