Brooklyn, New Yo...
Initially I planned to make this into a real maxi dress, but didn’t have enough yardage, so I’m calling her the Not-So-Maxi Maxi.
In addition to lace sleeves, there are front and back panels (with lace at the top of the back one), and a bandeau/built-in bra (my first try at this!). I modeled the panels after the skirt of a 1930’s reproduction evening gown pattern. I found the cutouts in the stretchy jersey really hard to sew!
I’d like to make a longer version of this out of a little thicker fabric, as it kind of feels like it could be a nightgown right now.
