Inspired by maria-gehrke’s beautiful sewing machine mat (and the fact that I spilt my tea over my playstation, er sewing table, and got everything wet!), I decide to make a tidy for all the bits on the table. Almost all of them fit in – I have left the pins and the mug out!
Made from a small piece of yellow fabric that was leftover from another project and the top of a pair of jeans whose legs had been used for something else. The back pockets and front coin pocket came in handy! I think I much prefer maria-gehrke’s version, but had to go with what I had to hand.
Jeans top using back pockets + yellow cotton material.

doesn’t it go “use it up, throw it out, make it do, or go without?” i think it’s cute, and you can always use a few scraps to make larger/deeper pockets (because lets face it, jean pockets aren’t that good at holding things).

Thanks for your comments. It’s growing on me I think. Though I wish those naughty scissors would stay in their pocket – they keep making their way back to the table next to the machine! I guess they feel at home there …
