Description

My first fall item for the year! I made this from a pattern in the May 2009 Burda magazine (#110, to be exact)—wore it for the first time today, finally, and I think I will certainly make this pattern again sometime! And since I’m doing Self-Stitched September, you get to see a rare photo of me wearing the project instead of just the dummy. Don’t you feel special now?

Material Notes

A cotton plaid shirting from Fabric.com (called "Ayden" so I call it that instead of a lumberjack shirt.)

    Great job. I do wonder if you can advise me.

    I have been searching for a back copy of BWOF May 2009 for pattern 110, as La Sewista has recommended this pattern from a project of hers I want to do.

    I haven’t had any luck with emails I have sent to Burda…………………………. Can you tell me, is there any email details for Burda World of Fashion, so that I could contact them to see how I can get a copy of the mag and get on with the shirt.

    Would be hugely grateful for any advice, as I am hitting brick walls.

      If there’s an email address, I don’t know what it is—the website’s been merged with this one. Honestly, your best bet might be to hit up eBay or somewhere similar and see if anyone is selling the issue.

    One note I forgot— it’s actually a long-sleeved blouse, but in the pic of me wearing it, I’d rolled the sleeves up to 3/4.

      Thank you! I think this is one I’d definitely use again, with a few minor fitting tweaks…though not with plaid. Too much matching, lol.

      ….or you could just snag the patterns when Burda posts them here! Although I didn’t see the one for this particular blouse when I was putting this up there.
