Description
This dress is a non-textile project I made for school. The project was to find any kind of material (except fabric) and make a garment out of it. It was veeeeery chalenging! It took me several days and hours to get it completed. I made a dress in muslin to serve as a base and constructed the non-textile pieces on top of it. I hand stiched almost everything, even the side ziper (It was painful getting a needle through several layers of plastic, muslind and screeing!!!). The materials are windows screen, plastic bags and plastic table cover. The top was all covered in about 400 petal shaped pieces of windows screening and trash bag. I added a head piece to complete the look for the fashion show at school. I posted a video of the show on YOUTUBE " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv0VtVjiVeU " . It is interesting to see the other students projects as well.
Material Notes
Windows screening, plastic bag and plastic table cover.( plus muslin for the base/lining)

Could you please post a tutorial on how you made the roses?

hi! Thank you for the comment. Very kind of you!
It was easy making those roses considering I followed my instincts without following any instructions. I just cut large bands of material and folded them in a half; after that I just started bunching and twisting that rectangle piece of material and hand tucked it to hold the shape as I worked on it. It is quite simple, it only takes patience.
I don`t know how helpful that was but let me know!
God bless!

Very interesting project. I noticed on the youtube video that your work was almost the only one with a bright color palette – everything else was either white/gold/yellowish/beige or brown/black – not sure why. Yours stood out from the crowd!
