I made this dress to wear as a wedding guest last summer, but never finished it in time to wear to the wedding, so it has been sitting and waiting in my sewing room to be completed for nearly a year until now. It is a version of McCalls 6466 pattern using the plain bodice, plain midriff and short full skirt.
I feel that it is reminicent of something Audrey Hepburn might wear back in the day.
I used polysester satin for the bodice and midriff and a novelty embroidered fabric with tiny sequins for the skirt.
I hope to have another occasion to wear it soon as it is fun, feminine and flirty!
