Description

I wanted to make a dress with no zipper since I hate sewing zippers so I searched and found this Simplicity pattern. The pattern allows for so much ease (because you use tons of elastic) that you could even use a woven material to make the dress, which I have made also (see other creations).

Material Notes

1 1/8 yd knit, jersey, or anything you like

I really like this dress! Very cute and tropical. looks like it would be great over a bathing suit at the beach! It reminds me a bit of a dress from Guess by Marciano (although that dress was $89). Take a look at it here: Candie dress from Guess by Marciano. :p

The pattern is called “it’s so easy it’s Simplicity” # 2969 which I found at Wal-Mart for like 4 bucks.

What is the specific simplicity pattern you used? Was it an easy project?
