No Warning Signs Skirt

Baltimore, Maryl...

White, black and yellow stripes converge and diverge all over this sexy little high-waisted miniskirt. It looks great alone or over tights.

The color scheme and graphic quality of this skirt remind me of cautionary road signs. (Plus, this skirt is tight and pretty eye-catching; it almost looks like you walked out of the pages of an optical illusions book.) The last picture on the right is one of my favorite road signs ever (a “dangerous curves” roadsign might also be appropriate, but it seemed a little too overt).

The striped fabric is a cotton interlock knit, and the yellow band at the bottom is bamboo jersey.

Material Notes

knit cotton jersey, bamboo jersey

Cotton, Knits/Jersey

I love it (and laughed at the sign!)! Great use of stripes, and great colour-combination (I hope you don’t mind if I knick it for next summer…).

Go for it. It was really easy to make, I didn’t even use any elastic or anything for the waist, just a really stretchy fabric that I pulled a few inches tighter than the skirt.
