I am a fish biologist by day and spend 6 months a year working from boats on lakes. I also sunburn easily. I made this shirt as a light layer that would keep me from getting a sunburn without smothering me in the hot summer months. The shirt is actually based on the men’s pattern McCall’s M6044, but with some adjustments in the hip to make it wide enough for me. Bonus: since it’s a men’s pattern the sleeves are long enough for my extremely long arms!
